Combining Durability with Workability

FIBROVIA® combines a dense graded, but very coarse mineral skeleton with a high binder content. The use of short fibres with a high specific surface area makes it possible to increase the mastic content.
FIBROVIA® has been developed to combine many advantages - workability, flexibility and strength. Depending on the gradation, binder type and, in some cases additives the materials provide specific properties that broaden the range of applications beyond those of conventional mixes.
The binder used may either be paving grade or a Polymer-Modified Bitumen from the ELASTECH® range. Binder type selection should be based on factors including expected traffic loadings, climatic conditions, workability, failure modes (rutting, fatigue and ravelling), pavement structure and availability of binder and aggregate types.
FIBROVIA® is suitable for all types of traffic - it can be used for maintenance and for new construction projects - it is an ideal surfacing solution for urban roads, where its workability allows uniform installation, both mechanically and by hand. Its main purpose is to improve the surface characteristics of pavements that exhibit no structural weakness.
BBA HAPAS Certificate 12/H187 relates to the FIBROVIA® Thin Surfacing System and its use as a surface course on new and maintenance on bituminous or concrete road construction.
